Since the beginning of time, residents all over Canada have enjoyed watching and playing the game of hockey. Many Canadians across this nation have dreamt of playing the game at the International Level on European soil. Today, 20 of our youth in the Niagara Region have the opportunity to represent their country and wear the Maple Leaf on their chest in Europe, and on behalf of the Niagara Elite parent group, we are asking for your support.
It is every child’s dream to play for their country, to wear that Maple Leaf proud on their chest and play alongside and against some of the top talent in the World. Travelling to Europe of course comes with a huge price tag and we are asking for your support to make a dream come true for 20 of our local youth. The trip itself is roughly $4,500.00 per person, and in addition we need team uniforms for on and off ice events, we will need to book facilities for skill development, and we will need to register for tournaments to build team cohesion. We will be playing in an International Tournament starting in Germany, and travelling to Davos, Switzerland to support our Spengler Cup Team representing Canada. We need all the extra support we can get to be TRULY successful. Like we have mentioned, we plan on outfitting our athletes head to toe so they look professional on and off the ice, we plan on setting up extra development sessions to ensure continued growth, and we plan on entering additional tournaments to help promote a life- long love of this great game, Hockey. This is a chance of a lifetime, a chance not many Canadian children will ever get. Our team, a team comprised of many children in various parts of the Niagara Region and Southern Ontario will travel to Europe, experience the European culture, develop relationships, and build life skills that will benefit us as a whole in Ontario, and in our great country, Canada.
